Where are you located?

Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica is located in Corfu, Greece, approximately 38 km (23 miles) and about a 60-minute drive from Corfu International Airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias” (CFU). The airport operates domestic flights mainly via Athens (ATH) and Thessaloniki (SKG), both offering extensive international connections.

The hotel is also accessible from Corfu New Port, approximately 36 km (22.3 miles) away and about a 50-minute drive, serving local and regional ferry routes. For broader sea travel, Piraeus Port (Athens) is Greece’s main international port, offering extensive connections across Europe and beyond.

 

How far is the main town?

Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica is just 39 kilometers (24,2 miles) from Corfu Town, approximately a 60 minute drive. Corfu captivates visitors with its stunning coastline, historic architecture, vibrant festivals, and inviting Mediterranean atmosphere.

 

What is the weather like?

Corfu Island features a Mediterranean climate with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers. Average temperatures range from 9.5 °C (49 °F) in January to 25 °C (77 °F) in August. Rainfall decreases from mid-March to May and is rare during the summer months when temperatures can reach up to 35–36 °C (95–97 °F), tempered by refreshing sea breezes. Occasional brief showers may occur in September and October, allowing ample opportunity for indoor and outdoor activities.

 

What Time Zone is followed?

Greece follows GMT+3 during the summer months (from late March until October) and GMT+2 during the winter months, due to the daylight saving time change.

TRANSPORTATION

How do I get there?

Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica can be reached via private transfer or taxi from Corfu International Airport, which can be arranged in advance through the hotel. Taxis are also available 24/7 and can be ordered through reception (typical waiting time 10–60 minutes; pre-ordering is recommended).

Guests may also choose to rent a car or motorbike via the concierge desk or use public bus services operating at scheduled times during the day. Bus timetables and assistance are available from reception or concierge.

 

Are private transfers available?

Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica organizes private Transfers for Arrival & Departure from and to Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport for guests. This can be arranged either with a taxi or a luxury minibus. The journey will be approximately 60-minutes to access the resort from the Airport. The cost varies.

 

Are there any complimentary shuttle services available to/from the hotel?

The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle.

 

What modes of transportation are available at the destination?

At Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica Grecotel, several transportation options are available at the destination, including taxis and private transfers, which can be arranged through the reception (taxis are available 24/7 with an approximate waiting time of 10–60 minutes). Private airport transfers by taxi or minibus can also be organized in advance. Guests may rent a car or motorbike through the concierge desk for independent travel around the island. Additionally, public bus transportation operates at specific times during the day from nearby stops, with schedules and details available from the reception or concierge desk.

What documents or items are required at check-in?

Kindly present your ID card or passport and the credit card used to book your reservation.

 

Can I arrange an early check-in or late check-out?

If the room is unoccupied, early check-in or check-out may be possible. However, to guarantee availability for early morning arrivals or late evening departures, booking an extra night is recommended. For late check-out, guests may inquire at reception the day before departure; options and charges vary depending on availability.

 

Can I use the hotel facilities before check-in or after check-out?

All hotel facilities are available to Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica guests from the moment the check-in process is completed. After check-out, guests may request to keep their account open for additional charges. If the account is settled at check-out, facilities may still be used for the remainder of the day, with services paid directly.

Please note: the LUXME package ends at 17:00 on the day of departure.

 

Are luggage storage services available?

The hotel provides a dedicated luggage area where we can safely store your bags and personal belongings before check-in or after check-out.

 

Are twin beds available?

Yes, twin beds are available upon request in select room types.

 

What is the size of the extra bed?

All extra beds measure 200 cm (78 inches) in length and 90 cm (35 inches) in width and can accommodate one additional guest, subject to the maximum room occupancy.

 

Is there an additional charge for a child staying in the room?

Children up to 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parents’ room, applicable to select room types and during specific periods.

 

Does the room include complimentary coffee or tea facilities?

All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, including a Nespresso machine with two complimentary pods daily, plus daily replenishment of instant coffee and tea.

 

Is it possible to guarantee a specific room number or location before arrival?

Special requests regarding room number, location, and proximity are noted with care and will be accommodated whenever possible depending on room type and availability. We kindly recommend informing us prior to arrival via e-mail at [email protected].

 

Does the hotel provide an iron and ironing board in the room?

An iron and ironing board is available for our guests and can be delivered to your room for a limited length of time for security reasons. Ironing service is also available at an extra charge.

 

Is there a safe in the room?

All room types offer a safety deposit box.

How do I book?

How do I pay for my reservation?

Once your reservation is confirmed, our reservations team will provide a secure online payment link to complete the payment by credit card. Alternatively, payments may also be made via bank transfer. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. For credit card payments, we support VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Union Pay, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club.

Please note that the same credit card used at the time of booking must be presented upon check-in, along with a valid photo ID or passport of the cardholder.

In accordance with local legislation, please note that partial or full payment of invoices exceeding €500 in cash is not permitted. All payments above this amount must be made by credit or debit card, or via bank transfer.

 

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

Pre-payment is required in order to guarantee reservations. The exact timing for payment, as well as how far in advance you can cancel free of charge, depends on your stay dates and the specific offer under which you have booked.

 

Are there any additional fees?

According to legislation, a mandatory environmental tax called the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee is charged. From April 1st to October 31st, the fee is €15.00 per room, per night, and from November 1st to March 31st, it is reduced to €4.00 per room, per night. This fee is settled directly by guests at check-out.

DINING & MEAL PLANS

Are all restaurants operational?

Yes. All our restaurants are operational throughout the season. In the event of unexpected adverse weather conditions, outdoor seating areas may be temporarily closed for guest comfort and safety.

 

What meal plans are available?

Guests at Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica enjoy an upscale All-Inclusive LUXME experience.

The package includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main buffet restaurant, à la carte dining (each venue once per week, subject to availability), daytime snacking including the Pâtisserie-Chocolaterie and Creperie-Gelateria, and a premium selection of beverages.

The LUXME package applies to all operating restaurants and bars but does not include in-room dining. Advance reservations are required for all à la carte restaurants. The package concludes at 17:00 on the day of departure.

 

What meal plans are available for children?

Children up to 12 years of age enjoy a complimentary lunch buffet at the ‘Tasty Corner’ (12:30–14:00, from mid-June to mid-September), as well as free dining at the main restaurant from a dedicated kids’ menu. Guests aged over 12 are considered adults.

 

Do you have baby food available?

For infants aged 0–1 year, baby food can be prepared according to your preferences. Please contact the Restaurant Manager in advance to place your order. Our staff is also happy to assist with warming baby bottles or baby food.

 

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and halal options. Please inform us in advance of any dietary preferences or allergies so our chefs can tailor your dining experience to your needs.

Are there any dress-codes for the restaurants?

We kindly request all guests to adhere to a resort casual attire with appropriate footwear while dining with us.

Evening Dress Code (after 17:00) : Elegant, Smart Casual – Swimwear, sportswear and flip-flops are not allowed.

 

Can private dinners be arranged?

Create and personalize your own private dining experience, with custom menus and dedicated service in a setting reserved exclusively for your occasion. Our chefs are delighted to accommodate any special dietary or meal requirements.

 

Can we book a table in advance?

We recommend booking your restaurant reservations in advance. You may reserve in advance via the Grecotel mobile application, available for download on all iOS and Android devices. Please note that reservation time slots for the upcoming week are updated every Thursday. Alternatively, reservations can be made at the front desk upon arrival or at any time during your stay.

 

Is early breakfast or a breakfast box & lunch box available?

Yes, early breakfast is available upon request. It typically includes light items such as pastries, coffee, and juice. Lunch boxes can also be arranged for early departures or meals on the go. Guests are kindly asked to inform the reception by 20:00 the evening prior to ensure timely preparation.

Do we have to book the spa in advance?

While it is not necessary to book in advance, we recommend booking Elixir Spa treatments and massages at least a week in advance. What are the spa facilities?

The Elixir Spa offers a range of wellness and beauty facilities. Guests can enjoy private massage rooms, a nail bar, beauty salon, relaxation area, and well-equipped changing rooms. Personalized treatments are also available, including special facials, body treatments, and massages tailored to your needs.

Sauna, Hamam and jacuzzi are available.

 

Do you have a gym?

Yes. We have a well-equipped indoor gym with numerous modern cardio and strength training equipment. An outdoor gym is also available.

KIDS CLUB

Do you have a kids club?

Our Grecoland kids club is a dedicated, fully equipped space designed for children aged 4–12, offering a variety of creative and educational activities supervised by trained staff. Children aged 3 years old and below are also welcome to use the kids club with the presence of a parent or legal guardian. The club operates six days a week throughout the season.

 

Do you provide special amenities for babies and toddlers?

ACTIVITIES

What indoor & outdoor activities are available?

At Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica Grecotel, guests can enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including the Aqua Park, outdoor pools, and a private beach, as well as tennis, padel, basketball, beach volleyball, fitness classes, and water sports. The resort also offers an indoor gym, a outdoor gym and spa with sauna, hammam, and treatments. Children can join the Grecoland Kids Club for games, workshops, and farm activities, while evening entertainment includes live shows and music.

 

Do you do Excursion boat trips?

Yes. A wide variety of boat experiences is available, including self-driven boats, yachts, cruises, snorkeling excursions, fishing trips, and private sea experiences. The Concierge Team at Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica will be happy to assist in planning your ideal excursion.

 

Do we have to pre-book Watersports and Excursions?

We recommend booking excursions at least one week prior to arrival to ensure availability. Guests may also explore options and receive recommendations from the concierge team after arrival. Watersports activities do not require pre-booking.

 

When is the Water Park open and are there any restrictions for the slides?

The Aquapark at Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica is open from the resort’s opening until the end of the season, weather permitting, and is included in the Lux Me All-Inclusive concept. Most slides are open to everyone, but there are some restrictions for safety: a minimum height of 1.20 m is required, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and certain slides are not recommended for children under 10. All slides should be used following the lifeguards’ instructions.

Is the hotel accessible to mobility-impaired guests?

Not all areas of the hotel are fully accessible to wheelchair users. However, ramps are available beside most stairways, and accessible routes are provided where possible.

 

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Do you have a medical facility or pharmacy nearby?

The island offers a public hospital and two private clinics. In addition, the resort provides access to a 24/7 on-call doctor, available upon request.

 

Is there 24-hour reception service?

Yes. Reception is available 24 hours a day.

 

Is there an ATM machine on the hotel premises?

No. There is an ATM machine located approximately 300 meters (0.18 miles) from the Main Gate of our hotel.

 

Is there an exchange office at the reception desk?

No, you may exchange cash notes at the airport in Euros.

 

Do you provide Wi-Fi, and is it free?

We provide complimentary Wi-Fi access.

 

What are the parking options at the hotel?

There is a parking area in the hotel premises, free of charge.

 

What plug adapter do I need to bring?

The hotel is equipped with Type C power plugs and sockets. Type C plugs feature two round parallel pins that connect to corresponding two-hole wall sockets. The standard voltage supplied is 220 V.

 

Is the tap water drinkable?

Tap water in Corfu is safe for everyday use such as washing and brushing teeth. However, due to its mineral content and taste, we recommend bottled water for drinking.

Bottled water is readily available throughout the resort and across the island.

How much is the ticket?

The ticket cost for all guests is 20€ per adult/ 10€ per child and includes museum entrance as well as a redeemable voucher at the square Kafenio.

Is Danilia Village Pet friendly?

Yes! You are welcome to visit with your dog. We kindly ask that you keep them on a leash and clean up after them.
