Where are you located?

Grecotel Pallas Athena is located in the heart of Athens, Greece. The hotel is approximately 42 km (21 miles) and about a 45-minute drive from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos), which offers extensive international connections across Europe and beyond.

For travel within Greece and access to the islands, Piraeus Port, Athens’ main ferry terminal, is about 10 km (6 miles) away and can be reached in approximately 20–30 minutes by car. Both the airport and the port offer excellent connectivity, making the hotel easily accessible for both international and domestic travelers.

 

How far is the main town?

Pallas Athena is located approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) from the centre of Athens, about a 5-minute drive away. Athens offers a vibrant mix of ancient history, world-class museums, lively neighbourhoods, exquisite dining, and bustling markets, making it a captivating destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment.

 

What is the weather like?

Athens enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. In spring (March to May), temperatures gradually warm from around 15 to 22°C (59 to 72°F), offering pleasant weather with moderate rainfall. Summers (June to August) are typically hot and dry, with average highs ranging between 30 and 35°C (86 to 95°F), occasionally rising higher during heatwaves, while the nights remain warm and comfortable. Autumn (September to November) brings cooler temperatures, starting at about 20 to 27°C (68 to 81°F) in September and dropping to 15 to 20°C (59 to 68°F) by November, along with increasing rainfall. Winters (December to February) are mild, with temperatures generally between 7 and 15°C (45 to 59°F), and although rain is more frequent, snow is very rare in central Athens.

TRANSPORTATION

How do I get there?

Pallas Athena is approximately 42 km (26 miles) from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, with a drive time of about 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Transportation to and from the airport is convenient and varied.

Taxis are available 24/7 directly outside the terminal, offering a direct and comfortable option to reach the city centre. For public transportation, express buses operated by OSY provide reliable service. The X95 bus runs from the airport to Syntagma Square, which is a short walk or taxi ride from the hotel. Tickets for express buses cost approximately €5.50 per adult.

Alternatively, the M3 metro line connects the airport to Monastiraki Station, located near the hotel, with tickets costing approximately €10. From Piraeus Port, taxis are readily available, and the drive to the hotel takes approximately 30 minutes.

 

Are private transfers available?

Private luxury transfers to and from the hotel are available upon request and at an additional charge. A selection of premium vehicles is offered to suit your preferences. Are there any complimentary shuttle services available to/from the hotel?

What modes of transportation are available at the destination?

The best way to explore Athens from Pallas Athena is by combining walking with private transfers or public transportation. The hotel’s central location allows easy access to many key attractions on foot, while taxis and public transport are readily available for longer distances.

Can I arrange an early check-in or late check-out?

If the room is available, early check-in or late check-out may be possible. However, to guarantee availability for early morning arrivals or late evening departures, booking an additional night is recommended. For late check-out, guests may inquire at reception the day before departure; options and charges vary depending on availability.

 

Can I use the hotel facilities before check-in or after check-out?

All hotel facilities are available to Pallas Athena guests once the check-in process has been completed. Following check-out, guests may request to keep their account open in order to include additional charges. If the account is settled at check-out, guests may still use the facilities for the remainder of the day, with any additional services paid for directly.

 

Are luggage storage services available?

The hotel provides a dedicated luggage area where we can safely store your bags and personal belongings before check-in or after check-out.

 

Is there an additional charge for a child staying in the room?

Children up to 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parents’ room, subject to room type availability and applicable travel periods.

 

Does the room include complimentary coffee or tea facilities?

All rooms are equipped with Tea & Coffee Facilities, Nespresso coffee machine and pods (2 pods complimentary daily, daily replenishment instant coffee and tea), let us know if you wish to have fresh milk for tea.

 

Is it possible to guarantee a specific room number or location before arrival?

Special requests regarding room number, location, and proximity are noted with care and will be accommodated whenever possible depending on room type and availability. We kindly recommend informing us prior to arrival via e-mail at [email protected].

 

Does the hotel provide an iron and ironing board in the room?

An iron and ironing board is available for our guests and can be delivered to your room for a limited length of time for security reasons. Ironing service is also available at an extra charge.

 

Is there a safe in the room?

All room types offer a safety deposit box.

Are all restaurants operational?

Pallas Athena Restaurant operates daily on an à la carte basis for lunch and dinner from 13:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30). The Lobby Bar, offering an exclusive selection of drinks and snacks, operates daily from 11:00 to 23:00.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of breakfast choices, ranging from an extensive American-style buffet to elegant à la carte options featuring local delicacies.
LUNCH & DINNER

What meal plans are available?

Breakfast is the only meal plan available at Pallas Athena. Guests can enjoy a daily breakfast buffet served at the main restaurant.

 

What meal plans are available for children?

A Kids Menu is available upon request at Pallas Athena Restaurant.

 

Do you have baby food available?

For infants aged 0–12 months, baby food can be prepared according to your preferences. Please contact the Restaurant Manager in advance to place your order. Our staff are also happy to assist with warming baby bottles or baby food.

 

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and halal options. Please inform us in advance of any dietary preferences or allergies so our chefs can tailor your dining experience accordingly.

 

Are there any dress-codes for the restaurants?

We kindly request all guests to adhere to resort casual attire with appropriate footwear while dining.

Evening Dress Code (after 17:00): Elegant, Smart Casual. Swimwear, sportswear, and flip-flops are not allowed.

 

Can private dinners be arranged?

Guests can create and customize their own fine-dining experience in the comfort of their room or suite, prepared and served by our staff.

 

Can we book a table in advance?

We recommend booking tables at our restaurants at least one week prior to arrival to ensure availability.

Pallas Athena does not have a spa.

The hotel offers a fully equipped indoor and outdoor gym for guests’ use.

How do I book?

Reservations can be made via email at [email protected], by phone at +30 210 3250900, or directly through our website.

 

How do I pay for my reservation?

Once your reservation is confirmed, our reservations team will provide a secure online payment link to complete the payment by credit card. Alternatively, payments may also be made via bank transfer. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. For credit card payments, we support VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Union Pay, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club.

Please note that the same credit card used at the time of booking must be presented upon check-in, along with a valid photo ID or passport of the cardholder.

In accordance with local legislation, please note that partial or full payment of invoices exceeding €500 in cash is not permitted. All payments above this amount must be made by credit or debit card, or via bank transfer.

 

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

Pre-payment is required in order to guarantee reservations. The exact timing for payment, as well as how far in advance you can cancel free of charge, depends on your stay dates and the specific offer under which you have booked.

 

Are there any additional fees?

According to legislation, a mandatory environmental tax called the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee is charged. From April 1st to October 31st, the fee is €10.00 per room, per night, and from November 1st to March 31st, it is reduced to €3.00 per room, per night. This fee is settled directly by guests at check-out.

Is the hotel accessible to mobility-impaired guests?

Not all areas of the hotel are wheelchair accessible. However, most steps are accompanied by ramps or nearby elevators to assist guests with mobility needs.

 

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Pets are not allowed, except for service animals accompanying their handler in all hotel areas. Please inform the reservations department at the time of booking to ensure eligibility and proper arrangements. Full details are available in our pet policy.

 

Do you have a medical facility or pharmacy nearby?

Yes, Pallas Athena offers access to medical services for guests. The hotel provides 24-hour medical coverage with a doctor on call, available upon request and at an additional charge. In case of minor needs, a pharmacy is conveniently located just 20 meters (≈66 feet) from the hotel. For more serious concerns, a medical center is situated approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) away, and the nearest hospital is only 1.9 km (1.2 miles) from the property. This ensures that guests have quick and reliable access to healthcare services during their stay.

 

Is there 24-hour reception service?

Reception is available 24 hours a day.

 

Is there an ATM machine on the hotel premises?

No ATM is available on-site. The nearest ATM is about 50 meters (a 2-minute walk) from the hotel.

 

Is there an exchange office at the reception desk?

There is no exchange office at reception. Guests may exchange cash in Euros at the airport or at the nearest exchange office, located a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

 

Do you provide Wi-Fi, and is it free?

Complimentary Wi-Fi access is provided throughout the hotel.

 

What are the parking options at the hotel?

Limited on-site parking is available, subject to availability and an additional charge. Reception can assist with arranging parking and suggest convenient nearby alternatives if on-site spaces are unavailable.

 

What plug adapter do I need to bring?

The hotel uses Type C power plugs and sockets, featuring two round parallel pins. Standard voltage is 220 V.

 

Is the tap water drinkable?

Yes. Tap water in Athens is generally safe to drink.
