Athena, goddess of wisdom & craft, patron of the city that carries her name. “Athinas Street” was drawn by architects Kleanthis & Schaubert in the 19th century. These mega architects traced out a direct line from Athena’s Temple, mapping out the first street of Athens and in keeping, named it in honor of the Goddess whose name the city bears.
