Where are you located?

Grecotel LUXME Kos is located in Kos, Greece, approximately 38 km (23.7 miles) and about a 45-minute drive from Kos International Airport “Hippocrates” (KGS). The airport operates domestic flights, mainly via Athens (ATH) and Thessaloniki (SKG), both of which offer extensive international connections.

The hotel is also accessible from Kos Port, about 6 km (3.7 miles) away and approximately a 12-minute drive, serving local and regional ferry routes. For broader travel, Piraeus Port (Athens) is the main international port, offering extensive international connections from Europe and beyond.

 

How far is the main town?

The hotel is just 4 km (2.5 miles) from Kos Town, approximately a 10–15-minute drive or a 30–40-minute walk. Kos Island offers a mix of beaches, a charming old town, and vibrant markets. 

 

What is the weather like?

Grecotel LUXME Kos has hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters, with temperatures ranging from 41–89°F (5–32°C). The warmest period is from mid-June to early September, peaking in August at around 88°F (31°C).

The coolest months are from late November to late March, with January being the coldest at 58°F (14°C).

 

What Time Zone is followed?

Greece follows GMT+3 during the summer months (from late March until October) and GMT+2 during the winter months, due to the daylight saving time change.

TRANSPORTATION

How do I get there?

You can reach Grecotel LUXME Kos by arranging a private transfer or taxi from Kos International Airport, which can be booked in advance through the hotel. Alternatively, you may take a taxi ordered 24/7 at reception (typical waiting time is 45 minutes, with pre-ordering recommended), use a rental car or motorbike arranged via the concierge desk, or travel by public bus, which runs at specific times during the day. Schedules are available from the reception or concierge.

 

Are private transfers available?

Private luxury transfers to and from the hotel are available upon request and at an additional charge. A selection of premium vehicles is offered to suit your preferences. What modes of transportation are available at the destination?

At Grecotel LUXME Kos, several transportation options are available, including taxis and private transfers, which can be arranged through the reception (taxis are available 24/7 with an approximate waiting time of 10–60 minutes). Private airport transfers by taxi or minibus can also be organized in advance. Guests may rent a car or motorbike through the concierge desk for independent travel around the island. Additionally, public bus transportation operates at specific times during the day from nearby stops, with schedules and details available from the reception or concierge desk.

What documents or items are required at check-in?

Kindly present your ID card or passport and the credit card used to book your reservation.

 

Can I arrange an early check-in or late check-out?

If the room is unoccupied, early check-in or late check-out may be possible. However, to guarantee availability for early morning arrivals or late evening departures, booking an extra night is recommended. For late check-out, guests may inquire at reception the day before departure; options and charges vary depending on availability.

 

Can I use the hotel facilities before check-in or after check-out?

All hotel facilities are available to Grecotel LUXME Kos guests from the moment the check-in process is completed. Following check-out, guests may request to keep their account open to include additional charges. If the account is settled at check-out, guests may still use the facilities for the remainder of the day, with any additional services paid for directly.

 

Are luggage storage services available?

The hotel provides a dedicated luggage area where we can safely store your bags and personal belongings before check-in or after check-out.

 

Are twin beds available?

Yes, twin beds are available upon request in select room types.

 

What is the size of the extra bed?

All our extra beds are 180–200 cm (approximately 71–78 inches) in length and 80–90 cm (approximately 31–35 inches) in width and can accommodate one extra person, subject to room occupancy limits.

 

Is there an additional charge for a child staying in the room?

Children up to 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parents’ room, applicable to select room types and during specific periods.

 

Does the room include complimentary coffee or tea facilities?

All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, including a Nespresso coffee machine. Two Nespresso pods per guest are provided, with replenishment of pods for all guests under the LUXME all-inclusive concept. Instant coffee and tea are also replenished for all guests.

 

Is it possible to guarantee a specific room number or location before arrival?

Special requests regarding room number, location, and proximity are noted with care and will be accommodated whenever possible, depending on room type and availability. We kindly recommend informing us prior to arrival via email at [email protected].

 

Does the hotel provide an iron and ironing board in the room?

An iron and ironing board are available for our guests and can be delivered to the room for a limited period of time for security reasons. An ironing service is also available at an extra charge.

 

Is there a safe in the room?

All room types offer a safety deposit box.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

How do I book?

How do I pay for my reservation?

Once your reservation is confirmed, our reservations team will provide a secure online payment link to complete the payment by credit card. Alternatively, payments may also be made via bank transfer. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. For credit card payments, we support VISA, MasterCard, American Express, UnionPay, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club.

Please note that the same credit card used at the time of booking must be presented upon check-in, along with a valid photo ID or passport of the cardholder.

In accordance with local legislation, please note that partial or full payment of invoices exceeding €500 in cash is not permitted. All payments above this amount must be made by credit or debit card, or via bank transfer.

 

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

Pre-payment is required in order to guarantee reservations. The exact timing for payment, as well as how far in advance you can cancel free of charge, depends on your stay dates and the specific offer under which you have booked.

 

Are there any additional fees?

In compliance with legal regulations, a mandatory environmental tax called the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee is charged. From April 1st to October 31st, the fee is €15.00 per room, per night. This fee is settled directly by guests at check-out.

DINING & MEAL PLANS

Are all restaurants operational?

Yes. All our restaurants are operational throughout the season. In the event of unexpected adverse weather conditions, outdoor seating areas may be temporarily closed for guest comfort and safety.

 

What meal plans are available?

Guests staying at Grecotel LUXME Kos enjoy an upscale all-inclusive meal plan under the LUXME package.

The plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main buffet restaurant, as well as à la carte dining, daytime snacking including options from the Pâtisserie-Chocolaterie and Crêperie-Gelateria, and a premium selection of drinks and beverages. The LUXME package is valid at all available restaurants and bars but does not apply to in-room dining. Each à la carte restaurant may be reserved once per week, subject to availability. Advance reservations are required for all à la carte venues. Guests may also enjoy a dining experience at a nearby local taverna, subject to availability. Please note that transfers to the dine-out local taverna are not included. The LUXME package ends at 5:00 PM on the day of departure.

 

What meal plans are available for children?

Children up to 12 years of age enjoy a complimentary lunch buffet at the ‘Tasty Corner’ (12:30–14:00, from mid-June to mid-September), as well as free dining at the main restaurant from a dedicated kids’ menu. Guests aged over 12 are considered adults.

 

Do you have baby food available?

For infants aged 0–1 year, baby food can be prepared according to your preferences. Please contact the Restaurant Manager in advance to place your order. Our staff is also happy to assist with warming baby bottles or baby food.

 

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options. Please inform us in advance of any dietary preferences or allergies so our chefs can tailor your dining experience to your needs.

 

Are there any dress-codes for the restaurants?

We kindly request all guests to adhere to a resort casual dress code with appropriate footwear while dining with us.

Evening Dress Code (after 17:00): Elegant, smart casual. Swimwear, sportswear, and flip-flops are not allowed.

 

Can private dinners be arranged?

Create and personalize your own private dining experience, prepared and served at the location of your choice. To arrange this service, please contact our concierge or reach out to the Guest Relations department at [email protected]. Our chefs are delighted to accommodate any special dietary or meal requirements.

 

Can we book a table in advance?

We recommend booking your restaurant reservations in advance. Reservations can be made via the Grecotel mobile application, available for download on all iOS and Android devices. Please note that reservation time slots for the upcoming week are updated every Thursday. Alternatively, reservations can be made at the front desk upon arrival or at any time during your stay.

 

Is early breakfast or a breakfast box & lunch box available?

Yes, early breakfast is available upon request and typically includes light items such as pastries, coffee, and juice. Guests are kindly asked to inform the reception by 20:00 the evening prior to ensure timely preparation. Lunch boxes can also be arranged for early departures or meals on the go.

Do we have to book the spa in advance?

While it is not necessary to book in advance, we recommend reserving Elixir Alchemy Spa treatments and massages at least one week in advance. To make a reservation, please contact our reservations team via email at [email protected] or call +30 22420 58000.

 

What are the spa facilities?

The Elixir Alchemy Spa offers a range of facilities and personalized treatments for ultimate relaxation. Guests can enjoy the freshwater indoor pool and the Seawater Aqua Elixir indoor pool with wild-water corridors, cannons, and shower jets (adults only; pool use does not include treatments). Additional amenities include an open-air whirlpool, sauna, steam room, and fully equipped fitness room. For personalized wellness, the spa features private massage rooms with garden views, a beauty salon, and changing rooms, offering special facials, body treatments, and massages tailored to individual needs.

 

Do you have male therapists?

We do have male therapists at Elixir Alchemy Spa.

 

Do you have a gym?

Yes, we have a well-equipped indoor gym and an outdoor gym.

KIDS CLUB

Do you have a kids club?

Our Grecoland Kids Club is a dedicated, fully equipped space designed for children aged 4–12, offering a variety of creative and educational activities supervised by trained staff. Children aged 3 years and below are also welcome to use the kids club when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The club operates six days a week throughout the season.

 

Do you provide special amenities for babies and toddlers?

What indoor & outdoor activities are available?

There is a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities available, offering something for every interest. Outdoor options include water sports such as paratrike, paragliding, wakeboarding, waterskiing, scuba diving, and snorkeling, as well as activities like tennis and laser tag. Indoor activities include baking and cooking lessons, yoga, and more.

 

Are there good diving spots near LUXME Kos?

At Grecotel LUXME Kos, we collaborate with an external scuba diving school partner, which can organize pick-up and drop-off services to and from the hotel and arrange dives according to your level of experience.

 

Do you do Excursion boat trips?

Yes, we offer a wide range of boat trips, from self-driven boats to luxury yachts, ideal for enjoying the Aegean Sea. Options include scenic cruises, snorkeling adventures, fishing trips, and more. Our Concierge Team is always available to provide detailed information and assist with planning the perfect experience.

 

Do we have to pre-book Watersports, Scuba Diving and Excursions?

We recommend booking excursions at least one week prior to arrival to ensure availability. It is also possible to explore options and receive suggestions from our concierge team after arrival. For scuba diving, in-person presence is required during the booking process; therefore, this can be arranged upon arrival. No pre-booking is required for watersports.

GENERAL INFO

Is the hotel accessible to mobility-impaired guests?

Although there are no specially designed rooms for mobility-impaired guests, most rooms in the main building are accessible. Additionally, all departments are accessible to guests using wheelchairs.

 

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Is there a medical facility or pharmacy nearby?

There is a public hospital and two private clinics on the island, as well as a designated 24/7 on-call resort doctor.

 

Is there 24-hour reception service?

Yes. Reception is available 24 hours a day.

 

Is there an ATM machine on the hotel premises?

There is an ATM machine located on the mid-level of the hotel’s main building.

 

Is there an exchange office at the reception desk?

No. Currency exchange services are not available at the reception desk. Guests may exchange cash into euros at the airport.

 

Do you provide Wi-Fi, and is it free?

We provide complimentary Wi-Fi access.

 

What are the parking options at the hotel?

There is a parking area on the hotel premises, as well as valet service.

 

What plug adapter do I need to bring?

The hotel is equipped with Type C power plugs and sockets. Type C plugs feature two round parallel pins that connect to corresponding two-hole wall sockets. The standard voltage supplied is 220 V.

 

Is the tap water drinkable?

Tap water in Kos is generally safe to drink; however, bottled water is recommended.

Are non-resident guests allowed to use the hotel facilities?

Non-resident guests may use the hotel’s bars, restaurants, and spa and will be charged according to the relevant price list (advance reservations are required). However, non-resident guests are not permitted to use the Grecoland Kids Club, swimming pools, beach beds and umbrellas, or any pool or beach facilities.
