What is the weather like in Kalamata?
Kalamata experiences hot, dry summers and long, mild, wet winters. Annual temperatures typically range from 41°F to 89°F, rarely falling below 33°F or exceeding 95°F.
The optimal period for warm-weather activities is from mid-June to early September. The hot season, lasting from June 9 to September 15, features average daily highs above 83°F, with August being the hottest month (average high: 88°F, low: 66°F).
The cool season extends from November 26 to March 27, with average highs below 64°F. January is the coldest month, averaging a high of 58°F and a low of 41°F.

What is the payment and cancellation policy of the resort?
Pre-payment is required in order to guarantee reservations. How far ahead the payment is required and how far ahead you can cancel the reservation free of charge will depend on your stay dates and the offer under which you have booked.
How do I pay for my reservation?
Once your reservation is complete, the reservations team will send you a secure online payment link though which you can settle the payment via your credit card. Alternatively, we do accept bank transfers as well.
What are the payment methods?
Credit card, debit card, and cash payments are accepted. For credit cards, we accept VISA, American Express, MasterCard, Union Pay, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club. Guests must present the same credit card used for the booking, along with a photo ID or passport of the cardholder, upon check-in at the hotel.
Please note, according to legislation, partial or full settlement of invoices exceeding €500 in cash is prohibited. All payments exceeding this amount must be made by credit or debit card, or via bank transfer.

Taxis are also available directly outside Kalamata Airport’s arrivals terminal.

Is it possible to enter my room prior to check-in?
If the room is unoccupied, early check-in may be approved. However, to ensure availability, we recommend booking an additional overnight stay if you plan to arrive early in the morning.
May I use the Hotel’s Facilities before my check-in or after my check-out?
All hotel facilities are available to Grecotel Filoxenia Kalamata guests from the time of arrival.
Are luggage storage services available for guests arriving before check-in?
A luggage area is available for safely storing your personal belongings.
Is it possible to have a confirmed late check out?
A day before your departure a late check out may be confirmed at the reception. There are different options with applicable charges to choose according to the availability the resort shall have. However, if you are planning to depart rather late and you want to ensure that the room would be possible to be kept, we suggest that you book in advance an overnight with your reservation.
What is the environmental tax am I obligated to pay it?
An environmental fee, defined as Climate Crisis Resilience Fee, of €7,00 per room per night is applicable by law, payable by the guest directly at the hotel upon check out.
Are twin beds available in the Main Building
Special requests are noted with care and will be accommodated whenever possible. We kindly recommend informing us prior to arrival.
Does the room include complimentary coffee or tea?
All room types are equipped with an Νespresso machine with 2 complimentary pods per adult/per day.
What is the size of the extra bed?
All our extra beds measure 180 cm in length and are designed to comfortably accommodate an additional child, subject to the room’s maximum occupancy.
Can you confirm a certain room number or location?
A request can be made once the reservation is confirmed. We shall do our utmost to accommodate the request as per availability.
Does the hotel provide Iron & Ironing board in the room?
Iron and ironing boards are available for our guests and can be delivered in their room for a limited length of time for security reasons.
Is there a safety deposit box in the room?
All room types offer a safety deposit box.

Do we have to book the spa in advance?
It is recommended to book Elixir Olive Spa treatments a week in advance in order to guarantee the preferred timing.
Do you have a salon at the SPA?
We do have a salon at the Elixir Olive Spa.
Do you have a Sauna, and is pre-booking required?
We do have 1 sauna room in our Elixir Olive Spa and a reservation prior is required.
Do you have a Gym?
We have a very well-equipped gym.

Do you have a kid’s club?
Grecoland is a dedicated, fully equipped space for children’s creative and educational activities
What age is allowed in the kid’s club?
Children between ages of 04 – 12 years old will have complimentary access to the Grecoland kids club. Children who are 3-years old and below will also have access to the Grecoland kids club with the presence of a parent or a guardian. Alternatively, babysitting service can be booked for children who are 3-years old and below.
Is it possible to book babysitting service?

What Types of Water Sports Activities do you have?
As a hotel we do not provide water sports.
Our hotel does not directly offer water sports, but a local company usually provides these activities nearby during the period from June 10 to September 15.
What would be my options for excursions in the surrounding area?
There are many interesting places that the visitor could visit. Some of them are the following

Not all departments are accessible to guests in wheelchairs. However, there are ramp sections beside most of the steps in the hotel.
