Where are you located?
Grecotel Casa Adele is located in Adelianos Kampos, near Rethymno, approximately 75 km (47 miles) from Chania International Airport (CHQ), about a 1-hour drive, and 80 km (50 miles) from Heraklion International Airport (HER), also around 1 hour by car. The resort is close to the coast, with the Port of Rethymno just 4 km (2.85 miles) away, approximately a 10-minute drive, offering seasonal ferry connections.
How far is the main town?
Grecotel Casa Adele is located in Platanias, approximately 7 km (4.5 miles) from Rethymno Town, including the Old Town and Venetian Harbour. The town center is about a 15-minute drive by car or taxi and around 20–25 minutes by public bus, making it easy to access shops, restaurants, and local attractions.
What is the weather like?
Crete enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. During the summer months (June–August), temperatures typically range from 27°C to 30°C (81°F to 86°F), with up to 12 hours of sunshine daily, making it ideal for beachgoers. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–October) are warm and pleasant, with minimal rainfall, which makes these seasons perfect for exploring the island. Winters (November–February) are generally mild, with average temperatures ranging from 10°C to 16°C (50°F to 61°F) and occasional rainfall. Coastal breezes during the summer months help maintain comfortable temperatures.

Greece follows GMT+3 during the summer months (late March to October) and GMT+2 during the winter months due to daylight saving time.

How do I get there?
Grecotel Casa Adele is easily accessible by car from Chania International Airport (CHQ), approximately 75 km (47 miles) away, with a driving time of about one hour. Heraklion International Airport (HER) is approximately 80 km (50 miles) from the resort and can also be reached in about one hour by car. Rental cars, taxis, and private transfers are available from both airports.
Are private transfers available?
Private luxury transfers to and from the hotel are available upon request and at an additional charge. A selection of premium vehicles is offered to suit your preferences. What modes of transportation are available at the destination?
Guests can choose from rental cars, taxis, and local public buses for easy access to nearby towns and attractions.
Taxis can be arranged through the front desk. A public bus stop is located close to the hotel, offering regular connections to Rethymno Town, approximately 7 km (4.5 miles) away and reachable in 10–15 minutes depending on traffic.

Can I arrange an early check-in or late check-out?
Early check-in may be possible subject to availability. To guarantee immediate access for early morning arrivals, we recommend booking the room from the previous night.
Late check-out may be requested at reception the day before departure and is subject to availability and additional charges.
Can I use the hotel facilities before check-in or after check-out?
Hotel facilities are available once the check-in process has been completed. After check-out, guests may request to keep their account open for additional charges. If the account is settled at check-out, facilities may still be used for the remainder of the day, with any additional services paid directly.
Are luggage storage services available?
The hotel provides a dedicated luggage area where we can safely store your bags and personal belongings before check-in or after check-out.
Are twin beds available?
Yes, twin beds are available upon request in select room types.
What is the size of the extra bed?
All extra beds measure 200 cm (78 inches) in length and 90 cm (35 inches) in width and can accommodate one additional guest, subject to room occupancy limits.
Is there an additional charge for a child staying in the room?
Children up to 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parents’ room in selected room types and during specific periods.
Does the room include complimentary coffee or tea facilities?
All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, including a Nespresso machine.
Is it possible to guarantee a specific room number or location before arrival?
Special requests regarding room number or location are noted and accommodated whenever possible, subject to availability. Please inform us prior to your arrival at [email protected].
Does the hotel provide an iron and ironing board in the room?
An iron and ironing board are available upon request and may be delivered to your room for a limited time for safety reasons. Ironing services are also available at an additional charge.
Is there a safe in the room?
All room types offer a safety deposit box.

How do I book?

How do I pay for my reservation?
Once your reservation is confirmed, our Reservations Team will provide a secure online payment link to complete the payment by credit card. Alternatively, payments may also be made via bank transfer. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. For credit card payments, we support VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Union Pay, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club.
Please note that the same credit card used at the time of booking must be presented upon check-in, along with a valid photo ID or passport of the cardholder.
In accordance with local legislation, partial or full payment of invoices exceeding €500 in cash is not permitted. All payments above this amount must be made by credit or debit card or via bank transfer.
What is the payment and cancellation policy?
Prepayment is required in order to guarantee reservations. The exact timing for payment, as well as how far in advance you can cancel free of charge, depends on your stay dates and the specific offer under which you have booked.
Are there any additional fees?
In compliance with legal regulations, a mandatory environmental tax called the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee is charged. From April 1st to October 31st, the fee is €10.00 per room, per night. This fee is settled directly by guests at check-in.
DINING AND MEAL PLANS
Are all restaurants operational?
Yes. All our restaurants are operational throughout the season. In the event of unexpected adverse weather conditions, outdoor seating areas may be temporarily closed for guest comfort and safety.
What meal plans are available?
Breakfast Only
Includes a daily breakfast buffet served at the main restaurant
Half Board
Includes daily breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant (buffet or set menu).
Dinner may be exchanged for lunch at the main restaurant.
Set menu dining at the main restaurant is included at no extra charge.
What meal plans are available for children?
Children up to 12 years of age enjoy a complimentary lunch buffet at the ‘Tasty Corner’ (12:30–14:00, from mid-June to mid-September), as well as complimentary dining at the main restaurant from a dedicated kids’ menu. Guests aged over 12 are considered adults.
Do you have baby food available?
For infants aged 0–1 year, baby food can be prepared according to your preferences. Please contact the Restaurant Manager in advance to place your order. Our staff is also happy to assist with warming baby bottles or baby food.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and halal options. Please inform us in advance of any dietary preferences or allergies so our chefs can tailor your dining experience to your needs.
Are there any dress-codes for the restaurants?
We kindly request that all guests adhere to resort casual attire with appropriate footwear while dining with us.
The evening dress code (after 17:00) is Elegant Smart Casual. Swimwear, sportswear, and flip-flops are not allowed.
Can private dinners be arranged?
Create and personalize your own private dining experience, with custom menus and dedicated service in a setting reserved exclusively for your occasion. Our chefs are delighted to accommodate any special dietary or meal requirements.
Can we book a table in advance?
We recommend booking your restaurant reservations in advance. You may reserve in advance via the Grecotel mobile application, available for download on all iOS and Android devices. Please note that reservation time slots for the upcoming week are updated every Thursday. Alternatively, reservations can be made at the front desk upon arrival or at any time during your stay.
Is early breakfast or a breakfast box & lunch box available?
Yes, early breakfast is available in the form of breakfast boxes, offered free of charge. Please make sure to arrange it at least one day in advance.
WELLNESS
What are the spa facilities?
The Elixir Beauty Spa offers a range of facilities for relaxation and wellness. It features an indoor pool, separate saunas for men and women, and private therapy rooms. Guests can also enjoy a beauty salon and changing rooms.
Do you have male therapists?
Male therapists are not available at the Elixir Spa.
Do you have a gym?
Yes. We have a well-equipped indoor gym with modern cardio and strength-training equipment.
KIDS CLUB
Do you have a kids club?
Our Grecoland Kids Club is a dedicated, fully equipped space designed for children aged 4–12, offering a variety of creative and educational activities supervised by trained staff. Children aged 3 years and below are also welcome to use the Kids Club in the presence of a parent or legal guardian. The club operates six days a week throughout the season.
Do you provide special amenities for babies and toddlers?

Are there good diving spots near Grecotel Casa Adele?
Yes. A certified PADI diving center is located nearby, offering diving lessons, guided excursions, and full equipment rental. Courses are available for all levels, from beginners to advanced divers.
Do you do Excursion boat trips?
Yes. We offer a variety of boat trips, cruises, and yacht experiences to help you enjoy the sea breeze in style. Options include snorkeling excursions, fishing trips, and private cruises. Do we have to pre-book Watersports, Scuba Diving and Excursions?
A full range of both non-motorized and motorized water sports is available through our partners at Mastoras Watersports. Activities include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), jet skiing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, and fun rides such as banana boats, tubes, and Crazy UFO. Pre-booking is recommended, especially during high season.

Is the hotel accessible to mobility-impaired guests?
The resort is not fully accessible to guests using wheelchairs due to architectural limitations. Kindly contact our Reservations Department at [email protected] for advice regarding the most suitable room type.
Are pets allowed in the hotel?
No, pets are not allowed. Only guide dogs are permitted on the premises to accompany their handler. To ensure eligibility and proper arrangements, the reservations department must be informed at the time of booking, and valid documentation must be shown. Please see our pet policy.
Do you have a medical facility or pharmacy nearby?
While Grecotel Casa Adele does not have a medical facility on site, a pharmacy is located approximately 300–500 metres away, within walking distance. Medical clinics are available in Rethymno, about 5–7 km from the hotel and can be easily reached by taxi. Our team is happy to assist with any arrangements if needed.
Is there 24-hour reception service?
Yes. Reception is available 24 hours a day.
Is there an ATM machine on the hotel premises?
Yes. There is an ATM available near the Reception area for your convenience, allowing you to withdraw cash without leaving the resort.
Is there an exchange office at the reception desk?
No, you can exchange cash notes in the city center.
Do you provide Wi-Fi, and is it free?
We provide complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the resort.
What are the parking options at the hotel?
There is a parking area on the hotel premises; parking spaces are limited.
What plug adapter do I need to bring?
The hotel is equipped with Type C power plugs and sockets. Type C plugs feature two round parallel pins that connect to corresponding two-hole wall sockets. The standard voltage supplied is 220 V.
Is the tap water drinkable?
Tap water in Crete is generally safe to drink; however, bottled water is recommended.
